conservatives = Less right than republicans
Liberals = Less left than democrats
NDP = more left than democrats

conservatives are all about business and rich people and trickle down economics and are largely supported by the western provinces - produce pasty white "cowboy" candidates. Conservatives usually take power after an established period of economic growth and claim they were responsible for it and the "good times" high plateau after the original efforts of other parties. This party highly supports large corporate tax exemption.

Liberals are closer to a centrist party but are about taxing and spending gov money on public programs. More government regulation is supported by liberals. Candidates are equally ontario-"central canada" and quebec based. Liberals have usually been supported in bad economic times. This party would keep reasonable taxation on corporations.

NDP are all about employee protection - heavy union support - spending more gov money on public programs and putting in heavier regulation of industries. They haven't had federal power but have done ok at provincial levels. NDP are supported in bad economic times. This party taxes corporations harder but not extremely.
