Digging in to the potential that this is a Java issue, as the last server was running (I believe) 1.6.4, and this version is running 1.7.10, I'm going to update to the latest version of Java and we'll see if that runs it.
Prior to this, Tekkit/Forge wouldn't even launch on Java 8, will let you guys know what happens.
