If you can visit an age, take a book with you. When you place the book into your crafting grid, the result is a linking book to that exact spot.
If you have the resources, craft a Link Modifier. It will allow you to modify properties of linking books. Specifically, you can rename them, allow them to follow you (rather than the default of dropping the ground), and allow intra-zone transport. Alternatively you can visit my place and use mine.
Essentially, this becomes a transportation system of sorts based on the books. What I do is shove them in an ender chest, and carry the matching ender pouch to access them all. This is how I perform surprise inspections!
