Server is a 2008 VM and the connection is 100mbit, shared, riding right on cogent. The connection it's sharing on can be 1/2-way saturated with TCP traffic and still be stable. Lots of boxes on that line but the line rarely hits 50%.
I have a terrible hop to it, and it's noticeable with the gunner's weapons, especially the spam/pulse cannon. I think I have a way to reduce that for that weapon.
