been arguing with my co-worker for a while about this "beta" bullshit. He can call it beta all he wants, and hide behind that label forever. The fact is, people paid him MONEY for his beta, what other beta software have you ever paid money for? If he wants to go all Brave New Software World like that and get his dev funded by players, he's gonna have to listen to some bitching and not constantly cry, "it's beta you know!"
Sure, you understood you were getting a beta, but at the same time you're funding his goddamn development! if enough of you complain about maps not working between releases, he should damn well spend some of the 10 million bucks he got for his beta and get someone fixing that, rather than adding feature after feature. You don't add massive features to a beta, you fix bugs in a beta. This 1.8 release looks more like a decent first alpha of any other game in the world. Quests finally exist?! Jesus...
