Yeah unless they implement some sort of repair "recipe" to the crafting grid, tool use is going to blow. Looks like I'll be going back to my old style of mining... Iron tools used only for stuff that requires it (redstone, diamonds) and stone tools used for "everyday" use. You'll burn through an inventory of stone picks in no time but atleast they are easy to make. Diamond tools only be used for obsidian. Won't even bother using my sword anymore now that I've got a working bow (and an arrow factory).
