I worked on the map a little bit last night. Mostly figuring out how to get the map editor (MCEdit) to do what I want & testing it out. I found out the maximum amount of blocks it can export divided by 128 and square rooted it to find the max size of a square (X by Z) block I can copy is ~724x724. So 6 blocks of 720x720 block schematics exported from our original should be able to be imported into an empty part of our new map. The new map I made is similar to the old one but it's a bit more water heavy and has a lot more floating islands or other random freak of nature generation.
