I was out diagnosing my parents' damned computer. Thing just either fails to boot up fully to the desktop or gets there and randomly just cycles.
Started after a power outage. I'm testing everything again, tonight is a new os install to see if windows is damaged (which I doubt). I already put in a new psu and it did the same shit.. I'm pretty sure it's the mobo now.
stupid thing is, the old psu may be fine or may not. the surge bar didn't indicate that it had it's protection amount used up so why is the computer fucked? May just be time to transition the system to a quad core cpu and ddr3 ram now.
