its games... So I tried Dark parables: briar rose to see what these games were like. I can probably piece an engine together for this crap in c++ easily enough but holy shit that's alot of art content. I figure you need: Screen tracker/map layout of screen connections screen display: background picture -perhaps multiple layers (cheap) particle system Clickable areas of arbitrary shape Animation capable sprites/video context sensitive mouse cursor game statemachine/controller menu system For the hidden object main game aspect at least. I can see why you mentioned that flick game because in briar rose there was some minigame/puzzle where you navigate colored marbles into their proper colored slots. The marbles slide until they hit a wall or another marble. They don't transfer engery to other marbles though. Are all of those games on bigfishgames that laden with art assets? There's no pumping cartoon shading or cheaper level art is there while still selling a lot of copies? |
