Sorry for the rant.
I just get pissed at times. I *enjoy* doing math, coding. It's art to me. When my daughter asks how to do geometric figures and I give her some function and show her what it looks like on graph paper, it's art to me.
It's the demand of getting paid to make bills that gets to my soul. I love math for math's sake. You can discover patterns in everyday life, from the molecule to DNA to SQL to a 3D FPS, but the wife will bitch that it doesn't pay the bills.
I don't wish my bills to be magically paid for, but when looking at a valve stem for my bike because the seat had worn out and knowing the flow could be better if the angles changed, I want to do it. Just to do it.
Sorry guys. We all do what we can. It sucks that we can't do all we could.
