I am going to write a search by distance/time to feature into my map page soon. It might just be a separate page since it's so different.
It'll get you all villages which fall into a certain range of time away. Then you just look down the list until you see one with 2 growth that's out of BP and send your troops there. to keep them safe for exactly the right amount of time for some extended work/sleep/recreation.
