Pretty dumb to say, I use Lightmap and still see spies perfectly with certain GFX configs (makes quake prettier too..)
Anyway, in pubs maybe they are useless to some people, but in matches I've seen it done effectively. It takes patience but if pulled off you can get away with it easily. I _DO_ belive that they shoulnd't trigger alarms though.. just my opinion.
