the whole executable pounding is pointless, since it was just to get q2 to run q3 vm's.
truecombat's work isn't pointless, all the work to make the TA ui work, the bots, the memory issues, etc. is. I've talked with the rest of TT, TCFusion wasn't really on the top of the list. it was waiting for the Q3 exe that was the big issue.
now Q3 src is out, bspc can be fixed and tweaked, other roadblocks that Acrid ran into in the stock q3 exe can be changed. TCFusion was a lesson in how q3 worked before we even got our hands on the q3 source.
to be totally honest it would never be released because it probably couldn't have been.
it doesn't mean that TC won't be released with a new q3 exe, as soon as a good anti-cheat is hooked in.
