Pointless? How do you figure? Last time I checked you've poured over a year of time and thought into your version of the Fusion engine and at the very least it has some fantastic design ideas that are at least documented in concept in these fourms.

Then there's the fact that True Comabat: Fusion has a coplete and independent set of art assets and could run as a stand alone game -- can WFF do that?

And lastly there's the whole True Combat Odyssey/Epic... Sure True Combat: Elite has been fired up, and has generated some interest, but there are a lot of Fans that preferred the design direction and art assets of Q3A: True Combat, are frustrated with its outstanding bugs and are in fact not interested in True Combat: Elite in the least.

It wouldn't matter if the whole mess were ported to Q3 Source or relased as TC:F, the veracity is that it would be a self-standing game, with outstanding art assets, fantastic net-code and like WFA has a ready made audience that would fawn all over it and you for making the effort to finish and release it.

With the bugs addressed and a working game and source released the Game/Mod might again see the kind of attention everyone that contributed to it originally hoped it would see -- and there'd certainly be some cross-ver maps from TC:E to TC:F and back again...

The only valid reason I could see for not finishing and releasing it is you just don't feel like it; which is perfectly fine, as yer the guy that poured in the effort...

But why not?
