the hand has to repair after the initial trauma. setting all the bones in place; the trauma from that as well. right now all the bones are being held into place by this reall cool and really expensive tinker-toy contraption thats screwed into all the bones on top of my hand.
once the body accepts them, then start repairs on nerves and tendons, late november i go under the knives again and i'm back to square one for another 3 months with a different tinker toy set.
