I've never heard that; well maybe something about Europe not worryins so much about deodorant but I have a habit of not believing anything I don't experience first hand and many folks I work with STINK regardless of what they do.
My friend in the UK was visiting his brother in Boston and was asking me what he should avoid doing so as not to get mugged or shot at. I found this amusing and then realized I would probably worry about drinking in a pub in the UK for fear of an IRA bomb. Maybe we should all turn off our TV's and hang in IRC more :P
