I thought the menu system was about as easy as you can get it without dumbing down the mod (not a good thing, in my opinion). It would have been nice to have some standardized "working binds" that implemented each class's most important stuff but with the ability to easily change them. Whenever I re-installed quake3 and forgot to back up my binds it was such a pain in the ass and kept me from playing again many times.
I also like the map loading screens they use nowadays that give you important tips regarding the game. I noticed it helped save my lazy ass when I was learning ONS for ut2k4. That would be a nice place to point out subtle thigs about a class and some bind names for the console monkeys.
