this iw why I mentioned team engine efforts. I myself am working on an engine and it's rough going doing it all my self. especially since this is the first time I am building a game engine first then game logic on a higher abstraction. With SS being the sole dev, and even though MANY components of the engine were near final state because of the use of existing q2 source code, there can still be a gaping hole in the abilities of the engine to cater to a wide set of game types ebcause SS simply doesn't have time to add them.

One major problem I have with WFF as a general open source engine is that it's not being worked on by many people and nobody has produced any game running on the engine. I know it takes time for these to appear, but the lack of demos of it's wider abilities can hurt attracting open source devs to the engine.
