yeah that law sounds unfair, but it is needed. The drug is not legal and it does take a while before it leaves your system. you may not be impaired, but the mere fact that you smoked it weeks ago doesn't mean you may have also smoked it that night. and legalising marijuana WILL increase its usage and availability. Companies will get behind the drug like they got behind cigarettes. surgeon general warnings will be added to marijuana packs like cigarettes but it will be a taxed income for the gov't so who cares. kids will be outside stores, asking adults to pull for them them a pack of marijuana instead of smokes. the drug producers will be richer than ever, and with that money and their product being legal, comes lobbying power. people who were formerly deemed criminal and had to behave criminal inorder to fit into the underworld to move the drugs will be given political power. The issue is not as simple as "it's already there, so legalize it already". Legalisation puts ALOT of power in the hands of those who grows the plants. One good thing that may occur from legalisation is the removal of the psycotics that people have been adding to marijuana.
