? it does hold it and compare. that's the whole CM_* function set for the world rendering. there is also a cull "sphere" check which i could hook into.

there's problems with that, but zooming is just splitting and shoving the player's origin (s.origin2), stuff like tactical maps is nothing more then opening a portal and combining areas.
