but i was thinking more for the log parser thing that spider did, so that instead of tracking by IP's, which can change, you could track by GUID instead. just add it as another parameter spit out on the ClientConnect line in the log. like
ClientConnect: BoA-Niall, 0, 126.134.123.1, whatever_a_GUID_looks_like, timestamp, etcetcetc
I dunno, maybe you have better alias discovery ideas? :)
btw, checked out bob's parser last night to help someone determine who was stealing their name on our server. nice program. i like the little "roll your own sql statements" part of it too.
