oh and kicked to spec first, then kicked off server to temp ban list is a good method.
sorta using the same method as the zbot logger in wf and config method for reading the ip and count, loaded not by the game dll but by the exe. sorta better that way. ban'd ip's can't even query the server if they have a hacked client (well it IS gpl'd you gotta keep in mind)
trap_AddBan, trap_RemoveBan, and in server.c CheckMasterBans.
course this is all open source stuff. i'm trying to figure out a secure non-Gpl'd wrapper (sorta like ogc) that acts as a security module.
