thats because its a full hit. the borg recieves 1/2 the damage then anyone else; if you are enemy you would be wiped out.
the q2wf plasma is HUGE compared to wfa's (I think) also it uses different math then Q3, which is linear (I'm still trying to figure out a comparison). in the pics below, the first one shows the actual radius of the borg's long plasma in relation to cancer3-wfa. (The outer circle).
The second graph is the math plotted in exell to give you an idea of the damage, as well as the 'kick points' where the view kick is calculated. the distance i am to that pb is about 300 units, so i'm getting a pretty decent 'kick'.
