well there was a problem with it being gpl'd. but due to something stumbled upon by dlb it renders ogc useless unless the person compiles it under their own system params.... similar to installshield's protection. milshape also does the same thing.
basically there are 2 parts; a crc checker that is part of the exe and dll's that are system specific as far as their extraction criteria, and since the method is NOT gpl'd there's no reason to disclose the source.
the method discovered by DLB renders q3 ogc inept, as a 'global' cheat solution. to thwart it further a module is used similar to ogc to further wrap the exe and modules (dll) so its a basic anti-cheat built in.
can it be bypassed? nope. too bad chacha-like people.
