Subject: RE: how can i increase fps

200 or so I got with my nvidia.

90 is NOT bad, as long as it doesn't deviate +/- 10%.

i'm gonna say it time and time again, ATI cheats. they have game-specific instructions built into their cards (nvidia does the same thing with games built for ATI, but ATI ignores OpenGL standards). I'm doing my best engine-side to accomodate that, but alas... I'm a poor developer not privy to specific instruction sets that ATI uses due to it's closed-source nature and lack of developer support.

You could in the meantime delete the wfdefault config in the wffusion.pk3 and the wfusion.cfg in your wfadev dir, fire it up fullscreen and play around with the GL_ settings and find one that works.

I know ATI has a really low vertex limit (yes even the new phatty cards) in order render faster; particles are sacrificed as well as some shader instructions.

do a /logfile 1 and then /cvarlist and quit, open up the wfconsole.log and you'll have a list.
