yes, interesting indeed, for one, iTunes for windows has that "unknown error (4000)" as a bug, it'll be fixed in the next release, just put the cd back in and rip or burn it again, it works everytime, as pertaining to napster? i've ripped napster and itunes stuff fine with easy cd-da extractor, i don't know..but indeed interesting, thanks :)
