for servers at least; yes. I don't have a nix box BUT i can compile it with cygwin so I know it's not much of an issue.
I also have a few shell accounts on some servers that I can try to compile it on; its just I have no idea how to troubleshoot or track debugging code on nix; with windows its easy because vs lets to trace back functions, no clue how to do that with nix.
