for textured light sources i remember those flags being a little more reasonable than the damned "have to make a shader of custom light emittance" in q3. course then someone goes and comes up with arealights, and others say, entity lights are better.. blah blah blah. didn't know who to listen to , so I stuck with light emitting textures. was there something to do with how bright a light appeared based on the actual dimensions of the brush it was on, or have I been sniffing the glue again.
