yes. it has a summoner class and a beastmaster class where you can tame the creatues around you to fight for you
there is also a melee class with a summon thats worth a damn if you can believe that, dragoon class
all 3 classes are 'advanced jobs' so you do have to lvl up one of the basic lvls to 30 before you can start summoning
