its pretty cool. no more 'wandering' of the beams, they are drawn (well rendered) as they should've been. no engine touches either, this is all cgame crap.
this is the final touchup for all the weapons: white is where its currently going, red is where the model is pointing, and green is where it would be pointing if it were locked to the flash (which its not, its locked to the actual gun origin).
