Subject: My weekend.

this example shows new client side effects on the pulse cannon. Those are non-tweaked effects btw and most effects aren't even drawn yet. its more for keeping track of the origin of beams so it's not very pretty right now.

I'm actually trying to not make them just 'client side', but 'renderer side'. layman's stuff: you ever notice that when strafing you see the hyperblaster catch up with you, but the gun doesn't? if you have ever watched yourself with the hyperblaster in thirdperson, it looks normal.

its not really keeping up with you. there's no reason for that to happen imo, so i'm doing away with it. it should draw straght from the gun's origin (+offsets) and right to where the endpoint is specified normally.

so, i'm busy with it. its only going to be importaint for the railgun, hyperblaster, and pulse cannon. but in the process i was able to tweak the whole weapon animation system and kickback effects.
