Working nights is the worst decision I ever made. Its like throwing away time unless you work for a company where you manager is working the same hours you are. It is INCREDIBLY difficult to get promotions when you have no visibility to the management. On top of that, if you are working late shifts and noone else wants the shift, it can be hard to get promoted because the management will have trouble finding a replacement for you.
Just some advice from someone who has been there and done that. =/
