static that is all competely a description of tradewars, hehe, the problem is the license has been bought and someone is supposedly producing such a game. whether it will be good or not is left to be seen. I know this because I created a tradewars style universe generator for a graphical version my friends and I wanted to make, it had the sectors, ports, planets, linking, everything, shortest path computations using ID. It should be modified to use more of a database style of information organization.
