Just an observation, but if you give the flag HP to combat the flag return, wouldn't a flag carrier getting hurt (Fire, rocket splash, etc.) also effect the flag itself? What happens when the flag loses all of its HP?
I may have misread your HP post, which happens to occur more often than the flag being caught under a lift.
