Your sounds need to be .wav files that are in 22.050 KHz Mono (8 or 16 bit), you can use the default windows .wav player to convert to that format. The program is in start menu > Programs > Accessories> Entertainment> Sound Recorder. Also make sure the sound is in baseq3(or wfa)/sounds.
